In this project we study cells from using a microscope and create an article about a specific cell. The purpose of the cell project is for students to analyze and understand cells in a deeper understanding. This project was really significant because I learn a lot about red blood cells and I got to see cells underneath a microscope.
This is a photograph of a yogurt under forty times magnification.
Below is my red blood cell article, I discuss the several functions, structures and why the cells are important to the human body.
The Cellular Lab
The Cellular Lab is where students look at cells underneath a microscope and determine what type of organelles and functions in each type of cell. An organelle is the amount of organized and specialized structures in a cell.
Below is a slideshow of different photos of cell, they were potato, yogurt and onion.
Project Reflection
In the Cell Project I learn that red blood cells are used for oxygen throughout the body. I found this fascinating because I never thought that red blood cells were so important for maintains oxygen and it is essential to keep them healthy. The best work that I have done on the cell project would be my article on the red blood cells. I was really impress how I was able to include all of the main functions and structures of red bloods with about less than 400 words. Also I found the cell article would be one of the challenging aspects of the project. It was challenging because I had to keep the article around 300-400 word , and there were some difficult definitions that I would have to explain in a simple and easy to understand to a variety of readers. The last important piece that stuck to me would be photograph of the yogurt cell. would be the amount of bacteria inside the yogurt cell. The brown section of the yogurt cell was bacteria and how organize they move in the cell. I found this project engaging and I hope that I will be able to learn more about organelles in the future.
