Mapping to Self is a project where students had to find a specific place, it either be a country, state, continent or city they feel the most connected with, and write an essay explaining why they feel connected to that specific place. Students the use Photoshop, to combine their individual portrait with their continent, country, state or city.
I found this project fun because I enjoyed writing about how San Diego is very important to me as a individual.
Mysics/Mythology
Mysics and Mythology was a project that had both Mysics( Math and Physics) and Humanities. Students had to create their own mythology describing real life situation, like death, weather and the sun. While they also have to find scientific research to explain their real life occurrences in a scientific explanation.
I found this project very impressive because I had freedom with creating with my own mythology describing how stars were created, and I learn the scientific explanation on how stars are formed. It was fascinating
Hidden Cost
The Hidden Cost was a project where students picked an everyday object and learned the history of their object. Students also had to study the main sources of the problem, and create a solution that will help better the environment, working places and economically help the modern word.
The Hidden Cost project was interesting, but challenging as well. It was interesting because I was able to learn about my object eyeglasses history and the materials used to make modern glasses. It was challenging because I had to root of the conflict with creating modern day eyeglasses and create a solution that will help solve this problem.
