Industropolis is a project where students had to study a particular subject involving the environment, human rights or animal abuses that deals with the industrial age. Students then had to create a pop up box with the information from their study and create an artistic representation inside their box.
This project was challenging, and it required a lot of communication with my partner Ella and I in designing the box. We were able to come up with agreements and also make deadlines for ourselves to fulfill our designated roles. We worked very well together and managed to deliver a well polished presentation.
Through their Eyes
Through their eyes was a project in which students had to write about a fictional account of a real life veteran, while also being factual about the current events. Students had to create diary entries, letters and stamp replicas for their veteran. The final project required a journal for the diary entries and envelopes with the letters and stamps.
I found this project to be very challenging and fun. I had to write a total of seven diary entries about my veteran, and make sure that the contents of those letters included true events. I found it fun because I was able to create a story with my veteran and strengthen my ability to produce insightful writing.
